Meet The Team
Tom Mantzouranis has over 30 years in the moving business and has helped people while they transition through all types of milestones in their lives – from young couples moving into their first home to relocating a beloved family member from their home of 50 years into an assisted-living facility. Tom’s experience also spans commercial moves which have been as small as moving an office across the hall to moving hundreds of sensitive IT servers containing vital medical records across the state.
Tom has held every position in the moving business. He started out as a helper when he was a teenager and worked his way to Operations Manager of some of the most well-known and respected moving companies in New Jersey. He realized how amazing it would be to have a whole team that stressed treating customers and their property the way they deserved to be treated.
With those priorities in mind, Tom decided to start Main Street Movers. The company holds customer satisfaction its main objective and strives to anticipate every need. All members of the Main Street Movers team are reliable, reputable and committed to quality of service.
Karen Mantzouranis has spent the last 30 years building a successful career in advertising, with wide-ranging day-to-day responsibilities, including Account Management, Client Relations, Strategic Planning, and Staff Supervision.
Karen’s skills and experience as Director of Client Service have seamlessly transitioned into her new role giving her the ability to anticipate and respond to the complex and changing requirements of clients and listening to individual needs that achieve the best possible results.
Karen and Tom have been married for over 30 years.
NJWMA Board Member
Karen is on the board of directors for the NJWMA (New Jersey Warehouseman and Movers Association). She is head of Marketing and Communications and is charged with education and advocacy for the moving industry.
NAPW Woman of the Year
Karen has been awarded 2014–15 VIP Women of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). The award recognises Karen’s outstanding excellence and dedication to her profession and the achievement of women.
Nicole, Senior Certified Move Consultant
Nicole F. has spent many years working in the mortgage business as an Underwriter. She is detail- and task-oriented and uses those talents in assisting with the growth and development of Main Street Movers.
Grover Freideman, Director of Sales
Grover has spent the last 18 years in the moving industry working in a variety of roles including project and warehouse management. He transitioned into sales 10 years ago and quickly proved himself to be a top earner. He holds a degree from Ramapo College in business.
Ben DiGiovanni, Director of National Accounts
Ben has been involved in the moving and storage industry since 1984, where he started as a summer helper while he attended high school and college. With over 20 years in the business, Ben’s spectrum of experience encompasses tasks as wide ranging as sweeping the warehouse floor to speaking to Fortune 500 companies at sales presentations. Learning the business from the ground up has given Ben the perspective that no job or detail is unimportant.
Cyndi Cartagena, Director of Client Service
Cyndi comes to Main Street Movers with a very diverse and expansive background. She started her career in advertising, but quickly changed direction to follow her passion in education working with adults and children with special needs. In 2005, Cyndi decided to get her Real Estate license which allowed her more time to spend with her son. Cyndi majored in Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities. Her warm demeanor, attention to detail, and her ability to learn quickly made it easy for her to succeed in all her endeavors.
In her spare time Cyndi actively raises money for breast cancer awareness. She has worked with the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, completing a 2 day/29 mile walk where she and her walking partner raised over $20,000 for access to care and to help find a cure for breast cancer.
Charlie Cacici, VP Business Development
Prior to joining Main Street Movers, Charlie was the managing member and co-founder of Risk Management Group, LLC. – a credit risk management/due diligence firm in the residential mortgage sector. Charlie grew the firm from a single employee and zero revenue to over $7 million in annual revenue and approximately 150 employees and contractors. Additionally, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations, system development and strategic direction of the firm.
Charlie has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and has held senior management positions at firms including Salomon Brothers, American Express Bank, and American Express Travel Related Services. In addition, he headed sales for Securities Brokerage Services and Paragon Consulting.
Before working on Wall Street, Charlie held management positions in the accounting and audit field. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brooklyn College and an MBA from Wagner College.
His breadth of experience and knowledge in leadership and sales roles has enabled Charlie to make an immediate contribution to the Main Street team. Charlie is now a member of several chambers and networking groups.
